Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis, born Milena Kunis, was born in Chernivtsi Ukraine on the 14th of August in 1982. Kunis immigrated along with her parents Elvira Kunis and Mark Kunis to the United States at seven years old. They eventually settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family had only $250 to their name when they moved to their new home. Kunis' parents both quit their professions to make it easier for their kids. Mark, a retired mechanical engineer, was able to find work as a cab driver. Elvira who had studied physics in Ukraine was pharmacist. Kunis said that she didn't understand American culture when her first visit to the United States. "I did not understand the American people. I didn't know the language. My essay for admission to college started with the sentence, "Imagine being blind and deaf as a child." That's how it felt when I moved into the States. It wasn't an easy change. Milena Markovna Kunis is the daughter of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine), and Elvira. She has an elder brother. Her mother works as a teacher of physics, but runs a pharmacy as well. Her father is a mechanical engineer by profession. He also is also taxi driver. She is Jewish. Her family relocated from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary was where she went to school. When she was nine-years-old she started acting classes. After auditioning for commercials in a variety of different spots, she became an actor in her first appearance on television on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. In 1998 she was given the role of Jackie Burkhart in the hit sitcom "That '70s Show". She received rave reviews for her performance, and was then requested to voice to the character on "Family Guy" in the role of Meg Griffin.
